On Trend: The Modern Wet Bar

We are seeing a resurgence of the wet bar in new home construction and remodeling projects. We know what you're thinking, and no... the 80's didn't call. This isn't your parents' wet bar, jutting out from the corner of the living room, sitting atop that orange shag carpet, adorned with white pleather bar stools and glittery plastic stir sticks. Unless you're into that sort of thing.

We're talking about a modern, in-home cocktail-filling and wine-pouring station. Chic under-counter wine reserves, chillers and cellars. Beer dispensers. Clear, cubed, or "Sonic" ice makers. Compact under-counter refrigerators.

Since in-home bars have been on our radar lately, we've assembled a collection of the beauties that are inspiring us this week. Enjoy!

At Coast Design Kitchen & Bath, we offer a wide variety of residential appliances perfect for your at-home bar. We have GE Monogram Stainless Steel Beverage Centers, under-counter bar refrigerators, wine reserves and double-drawer refrigerators. We're proud to offer Scotsman Ice's Brilliance line of "Sonic ice" makers. With their quality line of residential undercounter refrigeration systems, Perlick makes it easy to add refrigeration to any room of the home, including the outdoor home bar. Perlick's Signature Series Beer Dispenser lineup pours cold, fresh brews that are sure to impress your guests. We also recommend the KitchenAid Architect Series wine cellar with its true dual temperature zones that allow you to store red and white wines and different temperatures. Canted racks let the bottles nestle at a slight angle that helps prevent the cork from drying out.

Viking offers a quality line of undercounter refrigerators, drawers and beverage centers as well as their popular ice machines.
