  • On Trend: Pot Filler Faucets

Pot fillers, which have been a staple in commercial and restaurant kitchens for years, decades even, are becoming more prevalent in the home. Whether your pot-filler faucet is deck-mounted (on the countertop like a regular faucet but not centered over a sink) or wall-mounted, it's attractiveness and practicality cannot be beat. Pot fillers have articulated arms that allow you to move them over to your pot when it needs to be filled and then fold them neatly against a wall, so they are tucked neatly out of your way.

We've compiled some of our favorite photos of pot filler faucets in beautiful, practical home kitchens. Take a look.

Should you opt for a pot filler faucet over a traditional faucet? That depends. If you're cooking almost daily or have strength, back, or weight-bearing limitations, the pot filler is a great option for you. It reduces strain on your body from having to lug gallons of water from the sink to the stove. When you consider that a gallon of water weighs more than 8 pounds, and think about how big your stew pot is- that's a lot of weight to lift and tote around! It can also save time. When your meal requires cooking quickly or multi-tasking, a kitchen pot-filler is the answer. It fills the pot right on the stove, saving the space in your sink for vegetables, strainers, clean-up, etc. Another reason our clients opt for the pot filler is strictly aesthetic. They look great and are an impressive addition to a kitchen.

    * Coast Design Kitchen & Bath specializes in new home or remodel design and offers a variety of cabinet, counter top, and appliance brands. We do not specialize in plumbing fixtures; however we have working pot fillers in our live kitchens in the showroom. Stop by any time during business hours or schedule an appointment to discuss whether this growing trend is right for your new kitchen or remodel project.

  • Details Make the Design

At Coast Design we have a saying. Great design is in the details. The great Charles Eames believed in that idea and built his iconic designs around it. We believe in it too.

We strive to provide our clients with the complete package. We listen, we consult, we design. We value the importance of inspiration and borrowing from images and ideas that move us. But we also value creativity and innovation. We encourage our clients to come to us with ideas, visuals, or just an overall "feel" of what they want their new kitchen, bath, wet bar, or outdoor space to be. From there, we are here to guide you through the process and inject all of the details that will make your space uniquely yours!

Our team is knowledgeable, experienced and enthusiastic! We are proud to offer nationally reputable cabinet and appliance brands. We work with the greatest granite and stone counter top fabricators in the region. We can help you choose from a wide array of hardware, pulls, hoods, accessories and more to put the perfect finishing touch on any space. Did we mention our designers are second to none?

We invite you to stop by or make an appointment to see our new and improved showroom in the Tillman's Corner area of Mobile, Alabama. We've taken over the former Great Kitchens showroom, revamped it and added more models of name brand appliances that range from entry level to top of the line. No matter your need, when it comes to appliances, we've got you covered.
